I played two runs of the Steam demo and had a blast! (Not sure if it's any different to the prototype on here.) The camera made me a bit nauseousafter a while and viewing decks and discards is a bit slow. Also broke the game on my second run by making the hungry mace cost 0. That was very fun. I really like the card designs, game feel and aesthetics.
Thanks for playing! Great to hear you had fun!
Appreciate the feedback about path length when playing cards. We're exploring an option of adding a button that raises your cards up, which would solve this problem!
Shroom and gloom great game, top demo, but there are a couple of problems:
1) too many cards in hands, which makes it very difficult to use those on the edge of the deck (solution: make buttons for possible switching between card selections, i.e. make several hands of 12 cards ± 4 cards, you can add the ability to sort by card type, such as buffs, attacking, with special mechanics, you can sort by damage from or other parameters (with the ability to disable these functions));
2) by round 15 there are a lot of unnecessary cards. (solution: add the mechanics of evolution or merging cards, or add the ability to destroy cards);
3) on the final boss I actually went into infinite action points. That is, I killed the boss's minions, ate them and the cost on the card went into minus, used it, restored action points, killed the main carcass, and so on repeat. (the solution is to put a limited number of restored action points, or apply the effect of using once per battle to such cards).
It seems that this is a complete list of what can be changed to improve the gameplay. And if we talk about the game itself, it is wonderful. The style, the design, everything sinks into the soul. It reminds me of inscryption, but the deck building is different.
I want to wish all the best to the developers of this masterpiece.
We stan! This is so epic! The gameplay, the art style, the atmosphere, the audio! You guys really cooked with those one, some spicy shitake! Congrats on Devolver! Can't wait for this to drop! You've got a handful more wishlists from us! - The Pop Team
UI is not intuitive. I was stuck for about 5 minutes not knowing how to open the door. The thing is when you take a card and point it at something 9/10 times nothing happens (ex. taking a damage card and pointing it at an enemy). Moving the character in the game is pointless...The game is cool, though
Yo this is really cool! First person slay the spire + those outstanding visuals + and couple surprisingly neat mechanics are THE really great combo, can't wait for the final release
I really like it, but the lack of saves is a bit annoying. I hope in the future you will fix this flaw and add a lot of interesting things to the game. Good luck!
this is really unique. im usually not a fan of these type of rougelikes but for some reason i like the combat. a few rapid fire ideas i have are as follow
1. make it to where not all cards have to be dragged to be used
2. because all you do is move forwards backwards and left click stuff i would embrace it and instead of using W and S keys i would remap it to the scroll wheel and make the end turn button be the right click.
3. my computer is not the best and the game was a little choppy in its frame rate and for some weird reason it added to the atmosphere on the game.
This game has a lot of potential, but I would recommend adding some sort of limit to upgrading cards. I was able to with all three of my runs get a setup very easily that let me go infinite. Don't get me wrong, I love getting infinites in these games (like slay the spire), but its very very easy to just get cost down and draw a card on one attack then spam that. Amazing work thus far and I'm looking forward to a full release!!!
Super fun game with really cute art. I've played one game with the lazarus perk and it didn't seem to activate, I got the usual death screen. I'll keep playing to see if that's consistent
Edit: I think what happened is it did activate but I didn't notice that it happened because the card didn't flash on the screen the way "unstoppable" does
Thanks for playing, and taking the time to leave this comment. In the current build it's very easy to miss Lazarus triggering. We've added much better death and revival feedback on our side, so this will be much clearer in our next update!
No way! So you pay for something, then cancel the payment and trigger growing confidence?! Do you know if this still works this way in the new updates?
I played it in version 0.4.47. I chose the card which needs 4 keys, then dagged 3 to the box and regretted. It turned out 3 max HP. Maybe I will try the new updates later and reply.
this was AMAZING!!! showed it to my friend and they loved it too! It's so addicting and so satisfying when you get a game breaking build. The art style is adorable and reminds me of inscryption / cult of the lamb, love it because the monsters are cute yet still scary.
totally excited for the full game release, maybe there will be a battle against the creepy face at the end of the game (?) cant wait for it to come out on steam!
With notebook, some shurikens, burning wine (just for a free way to draw cards), I managed to get practically unlimited energy, because notebook can reach negative energy value if you do enough damage.
I discovered this game on an Instagram ad.... it's a prototype, but it's better and more beautiful than AAA games for 60 bucks !!!! Bravo, as soon as this game comes out, I'll buy it !!!! ah, and thanks for this amazing game.
I was drawn into this game because it gave similar vibes to Inscryption, and although the two are very different this blew my expectations out of the water. The way the environment moves around you, how you find yourself exploring the world, even events like the mole merchant are absolutely delightful.
As a card game, it nails on the head everything I want in a game of the genre: the types of decks and synergies feel refreshing to play with, and when you get a proper build going you truly begin to feel it's power. The design that went into each card and the different mechanics seems solid and interesting as well. The idea of even using some cards as currency is an interesting idea as well, posing the question do you sacrifice future health or even loot to purchase things for your deck is something I find enjoyable and new.
The enemy designs are fun too, and I particularly appreciate being able to see the moves they will make as to dictate which would be the best approach. The different types of status effects are fresh as well, and I love the idea that instead of being a set value and decaying after a set number of turns it becomes more potent the longer the status effect will last!
Even as a demo, this felt like a polished game, and I cannot wait to see where you all will take this further! Theres so much potential in this!
The art is beautiful. The cards are fun to play with. The mole merchant is cute. I'm so glad I can see what the enemy will do so I can plan out a strategic battle. "Do I tank the hits and heal because big guy is about to deal 22 damage or should I hit them a scythe to make the little ones die first." I just went on a crazy run with rage + increase damage cards. I got to the floor 14 boss when I came upon an issue. There were frame skips every second or so. Except only with the background. The cards UI ran smoothly but the enemy animations and walking were skipping frames. I hope I was helpful in addressing that issue because I love the game so far and I hope that there's so much more to this!
This is fantastic. Thank you very much. I love the art direction and mechanics. I'm not sure where the jank ends and the game design begins and I mean that as a huge complement when it comes to a rogue like deck builder. I have to mention the sound design is top notch as well. You really have a good team for this
We don't automatically add the emails of donators to our mailing list. We figured some people might not appreciate that without consenting (and itch offers no option for that).
To be honest im speechless. This is amazing and i pray that it sees the light of Steam. Please do NEVER stop developing this gem, if it was a stock id put my life savings on it.
I am continuously finding myself playing this game. Today i spent the last 5 hours sitting here playing it and find it even more fun everytime i go back in. its artistic style and originality make it something that i find elegant in its own way as well as the different combinations of cards that you can pair together that work in tandem with others. Keep up the good work and i cant wait for the finished product and whatever comes after.
This game RULES, really understands the most fun aspects of deckbuilders and gives you loads of opportunities to feel like a god. The art style works wonderfully, allowing both cute little guys and huge fuck-off monsters. There's a lot of depth to both the combat, and the exploration! I've only done two runs, but they both felt distinct and I'm interested to try even more. If I have one criticism, it's that if your hand gets super-duper full of cards it can be pretty tough to find the ones you want, especially if they're down near the bottom of the screen. The mole shopkeep also seemed a little finicky? Tried to buy something with lockpicks and couldn't figure out how to actually pay him. Besides that, great work all around! Definitely excited to see where the project goes from here!
It has the HUGE potential. Right now, decks are a little limited, but, I'm sure that will grow as the game does. Gives me the same vibes as the opening portion of Inscryption! Definitely has the potential to be up there with the great deck builders like Slay the Spire! I'll shoot a couple dollars your way to help with future development when I can.
Would love to see a steam release with controller support so I can play on my steam deck!

Only did one level but loved it ! Only "negative" thing I will say is, as I play on trackpad, the patch to the card to reach ennemies is a bit long.
Can't wait to play it again and finish the demo !
Great game !

Haha! 30 seconds into this and we're dying! So stoked to watch the whole thing!
We need more, I straight up locked in and played this for like, 4 hours straight.
Loads more in the works!
I Started doing challenges like this one where i upgrade the worst card to use it to beat the final boss
This is such a fun idea! That Stab landed up being nuts!

I can't wait to play it! I spent like 6 hours playing yesterday :)
Made a video for my channel. This one is actually staying in my library until I beat it. Great work!
Great to see! Thanks for sharing the game with people! Hope you've been able to beat the Gloom Worm!
My brother finally managed to, he's got a playthrough up to the worm, but fails on that run. But he has beaten it.
A little trick to gain max HP using FORSIGHT 'GROWING CONFIDENCE' with shop
No way! So you pay for something, then cancel the payment and trigger growing confidence?! Do you know if this still works this way in the new updates?

Thanks for confirming Gianbin. I don't think this'll happen anymore in the current version of the game, but appreciate the heads up!
I'm finding new ways to break the game, the hot poker is busted
Hot poker has such good potential to be so broken!
Absolutely, I'm trying to avoid it now because it's too strong
this was AMAZING!!! showed it to my friend and they loved it too! It's so addicting and so satisfying when you get a game breaking build. The art style is adorable and reminds me of inscryption / cult of the lamb, love it because the monsters are cute yet still scary.

Hey🥰 I love games & 5ЕX🔞 Play this game with me 👉 https://xxx18.fun/go
Looking forward to playing it. Shared it with others already and they’ve downloaded it too.
I hope it can get an Android Mobile port as it looks to be a great pickup game as well.
With notebook, some shurikens, burning wine (just for a free way to draw cards), I managed to get practically unlimited energy, because notebook can reach negative energy value if you do enough damage.
I'm loving this game.
Awesome game, hope it will be published in steam!
Awesome game, the art and the music are superb.

Very laggy on mac air
When played on a stronger PC - extremely fun 10/10

Just found it with Instagram.
Honnestly giving me the same feeling as Inscryption (which is a compliment), maybe an inspiration, maybe not.
Your graphic style and 2.5D are majestic !
For "just a demo", it's already more polish than most game ... (Even if sometime i ask myself "how the hell did i win this last fight")
You can count me in your player list!
Sorry for the messy english,
The art is beautiful. The cards are fun to play with. The mole merchant is cute. I'm so glad I can see what the enemy will do so I can plan out a strategic battle. Oh and I bet there's room for VR capability the way we look around with the camera. Especially during the death screen.
One of the best roguelike game I ever played! The art is awesome and the features just so amazing! I can't wait for the full version!
This is fantastic. Thank you very much. I love the art direction and mechanics. Thank you very much for this game. I love everything about it.
Will buyers get information, if an update will be published or will the client update automatically?
Im looking forward and wish you the best of luck with your project.
