The world's most hilarious, adorable and surreal pro wrestler dating sim is back! Today, we're so stoked bring you the demo for "Wrestling With Emotions: New Kid On the Block!"!

Back in 2016, we dropped an aggressively short, punk game called "Wrestling With Emotions: Quest For The Perfect Match" on itch. A lightning fast snapshot of speed dating your way through a surreal wrestling promotion, the game was fast, loud, and weird as heck. In short, it represented everything Team Lazerbeam was aiming for with our agenda to make games "the shape of punk to come".



In the years since, as Team Lazerbeam and our ambitions grew, we set our sights on making bigger, bolder games. We dreamed of creating realities that players could get lost in, evolving from creating micro games, to crafting fully realised worlds for our players. The result of that desire was "Wrestling With Emotions: New Kid On The Block".

While we started this journey aiming to create a Wrestling With Emotions that was bigger and better in every way, after 3 years of development we've surprised even ourselves with how massive this thing has turned out to be. The game is a true heavyweight in the visual novel/ dating sim/ alternative games space. With 7 dateable dreamboats, 16 un-lockable endings, a  web of ridiculously deep systems for building and growing characters, a bunch of minigames, 60+ original songs, mountains of hand-crafted art, and hours and hours of gameplay, this game has turned out to be absolutely gigantic.

To bring this titan to life in the most awesome fashion possible, we still have some work ahead of us, but the end of the road is in sight. And with that in mind, we are profoundly happy to be here, back on the platform where this adventure started, sharing the demo to our hear-melting tale of bent rules, broken hearts and bulging biceps.

This demo has been designed to give players the perfect snapshot of everything that makes "New Kid On The Block" such a special and strange beast. You'll get a taste of character creation, try your hand at some minigames, and most importantly,  get introduced to the world's cuddliest wrestling promotion, and the musclebound weirdos that call it home. Clocking in at around 40 minutes of playtime, the demo is longer than most, but a suitably beefy introduction to the absurdly super-sized full game. 

As always, we're delighted to have the itch.io community on this weird ride with us! This platform completely shaped Team Lazerbeam and our quest to make games The Shape Of Punk To Come. We hope this demo will bring people bucket-loads of joy, and can't wait to hear what the community thinks of it.
